Overview
The Microsoft 365 Trust team (M365) is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help drive our Responsible AI (RAI) governance efforts for the M365 Core platform that supports products such as such as Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Skype, Microsoft Security and Compliance offerings, Viva and others. M365 is a leader in the cloud, and our artificial intelligence features are on the cutting-edge of shaping productively across both our work and life.
We are seeking a technical, highly motivated, and experienced Product manager that has worked across large-scale engineering teams to drive compliance-related efforts. The role will work across multiple engineering teams to ensure our AI/ML features meet Microsoft responsible AI principles such as fairness, inclusiveness, and transparency.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
o OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years’ experience driving compliance-related (privacy, security, RAI or related) products across large-scale engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with legal teams translating policy or regulation into actionable engineering specifications that account for technical design and infrastructure considerations.
- Track record delivering across organizational boundaries in a highly matrixed model and sustaining partnerships within and outside the organization. Ability to drive decisions, bring clarity to ambiguity, influence leadership, and manage business outcomes with pace.
- Excellent communication skills that can tailor content and concepts based on audience (internal stakeholders and with external customers), leadership levels, and disciplines (Engineering, Finance, Business Development, Partners)
- Experience with cloud computing, online services, enterprise software development, engineering and/or operations at scale
Product Management IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 – $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 – $238,600 per year.

Responsibilities
- Assess: Conduct technical reviews of engineering design and architecture to evaluate that our AI features meet our core RAI principles and requirements. Identify RAI issues and provide mitigation strategies and approvals pre-launch, to ensure we meet a high-bar for RAI.
- Guide: Partner with M365 engineering teams in all phases of development as a subject matter expert on RAI to overall feature design and user experience.
- Attest: Ensure our products and connected services comply with all internal RAI standards and pass all RAI bars, as well as any other legal regulations, and develop customized implementation guidelines
- Anticipate: Understand the competitive landscape and provide proactive RAI guidance to feature teams to build future-proof solutions.
- Innovate: Propose new features and functionality to our product teams related to end user privacy and data protection
- Drive to resolution: Be able to identify and drive decisions by appropriately escalating RAI issues by partnering with our service leadership, Legal and RAI orgs around the company.
- Educate: Help build and support a network of RAI champions across our organization to expand the reach of the RAI team in delivering assessment, training and documentation
